Eastern Quantum, a Beijing based company has successfully completed development and commissioned a control system for dry steam  preparation at the Liao He oil refinery (China). The Liao He deposit is the third biggest Chinese company by the extraction volume.
ADAM 4017 data acquisition modules have been used in the control system. As a software package for operator workstations, TRACE MODE SCADA-system has been selected.
A free-of-charge built-in driver has been used for the communication between a TRACE MODE RTM and ADAM modules. TRACE MODE is supplied with a set of free drivers for more than 2812 controllers and input/output devices.
By means of ready-made algorithms built into TRACE MODE, several FBD-programs have been developed carrying out a complicated logical control for the oil refinery. The software also provides data exchange with Access DBMS for the effective analysis and statistical processing of the data obtained.
