The Brodsky Refinery (Bosnia) Implements TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI for EURO 5 Gasoline Production

In Bosnia, the Bosanski Brod refinery launched a second production line, which was repaired by the Russian company Zarubezhneft. Now the plant is able to produce the gasoline conforming to the Euro 5 standard.

The operator control systems for the gasoline production at the Bosanski Brod refinery were developped and implemented by several Russian system integrators. All integrators used Russian SCADA-software TRACE MODE 6 (AdAstra Research Group, Moscow) for process control of gasoline production.

VKG Oil is the biggest oil shale chemical industry in Europe, the main field of activity of which is thermal processing of oil shale. 1.4 million tons oil shale is reprocessed per year. The company produces various fuel oils, which are characterized by low viscosity and a setting point below -25ºC, oil coke and pitch, summary oil shale phenols, antiseptic wood impregnation oil and bitumen.

TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI in Fire Safety Control System for Linyuan Oil Tank Farm

A fire safety SCADA/HMI TRACE MODE based  control system developed for a Linyuan oil tanks farm at the Datsin oil deposit has successfully been commissioned in China. The Datsin deposit is the biggest oil deposit in China (the annual oil extraction is about 50 million tons). The Linyuan oil tanks farm numbers more than 400 big oil reservoirs.

The decision to choose SCADA/HMI TRACE MODE for this project has been made after a long comparison with alternative solutions based on InTouch, iFix and WinCC SCADA/HMI software. The decisive factor for the TRACE MODE  choice has become a better "price-performance" ratio provided by the system. At the hardware level the developers used PLC S7-300 by Siemens. The connection between TRACE MODE and S7-300 is carried out via an ОРС server.

TRACE MODE at The Liao He Refinery (China)

Eastern Quantum, a Beijing based company has successfully completed development and commissioned a control system for dry steam preparation at the Liao He refinery.

ADAM 4017 data acquisition modules have been used in the control system. As a software package for operator workstations, TRACE MODE SCADA-system has been selected.
