The Development Center of the Industrial Computer Systems (ICOS) company (St. Petersburg) launched the TRACE MODE based control system at the Sosnogosrk Gas Refinery (a branch of Severgazprom).
The system has a hierarchical structure and is functionally divided into two big subsystems:
- subsystem of monitoring and control of the furnace technical carbon production plant (FTCPP), where main objects are furnace sets Nos. 8-14, an afterburning plant, a pump-house for liquid residuals, a gas-distribution point and a pump-house for water; - subsystem for logging of thermal energy resources of the whole gas refinery where the enterprise gas supply system is the main logging object and are the power and water supply systems are auxiliary objects. The following TRACE MODE modules are used for the operator interface development:
- Double Force RTM - dual redundant real-time monitor (with an automatic hot redundancy function) for 1024 input/output points - based on the FTCPP control ; - RTM - a real-time monitor - for accounting of energy resources of the whole gas refinery; - Global documentation server; - 3 NetLink Light graphical consoles - for the arrangement of workstations.
Comparisons of the cost for TRACE MODE with by alternative international SCADA-system, showed its cost efficiency at least as twice as much. |
