The Krasnodar heat and power plant launched a control system for the 2nd power unit that was developed using SCADA TRACE MODE system and the RK-131/300M controllers. The system was deployed during overhaul at the 2nd power unit.
The Krasnodar heat and power plant is owned by Yuzhnaya Generation Company – TGK-8 and remains the largest power station in this region. The station provides 60% of power consumed by the city of Krasnodar, while the cash cost of its power is significantly lower compared to the power generated by the smaller boilers of this Kuban capital. The 2nd power unit capacity is 113 MW.
A team of YugOGRES engineers, ensured professional design and setup of the control system for the power unit at the Krasnodar heat and power plant. A standard setup was extended by adding additional operator level workplaces.
It took four control engineers and just two months to use SCADA TRACE MODE 6 system for designing the operator level of the control system for the power unit at the Krasnodar heat and power plant.
The units below employ the automated control:
- TGM-94 boiler;
- K-160-130 turbine.
The control system includes:
- 7 RK-131/300M controllers;
- one operator's workstation;
- one active and one redundant communication path with RS-485 interface;
- 77 analog signals;
- 88 discreet signals;
- 19 control circuits.
At the operator level at the Krasnodar heat and power plant is powered by SCADA TRACE MODE 6.05 RTM+ for Windows offering 512 input/output points. This enables the capabilities below:
- request and acquisition of analog and discreet signals from the power unit;
- displaying analog and discreet signals;
- displaying signal validation attributes, alerts and alarms;
- logging values and alerts;
- graphic display of analog and discreet signals;
- manual and automated control.
When designing and setting up the control system for the power unit at the heat and power plant, the development team worked closely with AdAstra Research Group, Ltd support team to quickly solve the issues.
SCADA TRACE MODE is certified for use in control systems for power units and widely used for control systems in boilers, boiler units and power units at the heat and power plants across Russia and CIS countries. |
