A Riga city based Sia Rameda company (Riga , Latvia) has finished a new phase of implementation of a control system for ventilation, heating and cooling equipment in the RD Holding commercial and office center in Riga (street Maskavas 240, Riga , Latvia).
The RD Holding commercial and office center is situated close to the center of Riga and has a good infrastructure. It contains the offices of many renowned Latvian industrial, transportation , telecommunications companies and banks, a fitness center, and a range of shops, including RD Electronics, the largest electronics chain store in Latvia. .
The Sia Rameda engineers have used TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI software (AdAstrA , Moscow, Russia) for the development of a supervisory system for automatic climate control of the building (ventilation, cooling and heating) . The main purpose of the work is to connect all ventilation machines, chillers and heating units to a centralized computer, supervisory control system to ensure round the clock equipment monitoring from a single center.
The Sia Rameda engineers have replaced an old heating controllers with brand new DANFOSS - Danfoss ECL210/310 ones. The obsolete controllers of ventilation machines have been also dismantled and substituted with modern Swedish controllers REGIN CORRIGO. Additional temperature sensors and ICP DAS IO modules have been installed too. The result is the ability to control the operation of all ventilation machines, chillers and heating units from a central server with the TRACE MODE HMI.
The real time data on the operation of the ventilation, cooling and heating systems are being acquired and stored in TRACE MODE historical archives (SIAD database). An alarming module is also set providing automatic alarm messaging to the authorized staff mobile phones and e-mails in case of emergency.
The automation ventilation, heating and cooling control system of the RD HOLDING commercial and office center has been developed gradually in the way of planned modernization. The development of information system and replacement of equipment occurred step by step, with minimal impact on to daily operations of the commercial and office center. The automation system is still evolving.
For example, in 2013, 3 more ventilation machines, glycol unit pumps and a chiller were connected to the central supervisory automation system. In the near future developers plan to connect to the new system a gas 500 kW boiler and 5 additional ventilation machines.
The tool used - TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI supports the system upsizing, which is convenient for both the automation system developer and customer.
In 2013, the Sia Rameda company ( Riga , Latvia) has reached a new level - received the status of AdAstra authorized dealer and it is from now on an official Adastra Research Group, Ltd representative in the Republic of Latvia.
