NPK "UgCMA" OAO "Souzcvetmetavtomatika" (Moscow, Russia) launched a new TRACE MODE and Advantech PLC-based control system for charge batching at the Novocherkasskiy electrode plant.
The project is implemented with the uniform software tool (the integrated SCADA/HMI and Softlogic system TRACE MODE 5) for the PLC level and for the operator level.
On the PLC level the system fulfills data acquisition, processing and transfer to the operator level PC.
On the operator level the system ensures the following:
- Round-the-clock operation of the equipment
- Alarm logging
- Process data documentation and printing
- Batching process control
The connection between the PLC and operator level is accomplished through the RS-232 interface using the built-in M-link protocol.
The integration of SCADA and Softlogic in one software tool allowed to increase the product output and its quality. |
